The Case Report of an Intra-Abdominal Organized Gossipiboma: An Incidental Subsidiary Finding

Despite the advances in medical sciences and increased safety measures taken during surgeries, there are still few unfortunate times when post-procedure complications can occur due to human errors presenting with intraoperative or post operative symptoms. Gossipiboma is a rare complication that negligence. Gossipiboma’s form as of inflammatory reaction surgical sponge laparotomy pad left mistakenly body patient after procedure. We present here case 67-year-old male who had history right-sided Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) five years back. No immediate procedure occurred however presented Outpatient Department (OPD) flank pain his Computed Tomography (CT) scan was done showed an organized Gossipiboma.
